Welcome to your new ProBoards forum, Cold Case Collective. Just like the name suggests, it is for all of those arm-chair detectives that need a place to share their research on a cold case. This is intended to be based on open-source, in other words, just like the basis of the world wide web, the information that is provided comes freely and is shared freely with others, allowing the most accurate information to be obtained on your cold case.
We have found there are many people out there that focus on one case and at times may get stuck or need help, and you can find that help here. You start your own thread on a cold case and put up as much information as you like on that case and as the forum grows you will find others that will be able to pitch in help or even have an idea to set you off in a direction to look for more clues.
It is best to build your thread and separate into two categories: Fact and theories. Sometimes theories may start off unfounded, but with research and bouncing ideas off one another you may find that a theory will eventually lead to or even become a fact.
Also, please make sure you search the forum for your particular cold case to make sure no one has already started a thread on it.
Lastly, as you read if you find a particular case that you want to work on, please introduce yourself, before you jump in.
If you are reading to start, then please pick the board that represents your case, by state or name for example and then click on the "start thread" icon on the top right corner.
If you have an idea for a new board, please let me know and I will add it.
Also, pertaining to the general use of this board:
We have numerous resources available to help you get started.
